THIS PAST WEEK

We have another great week of mission impossible in PE class. We started our assemblies on character education and we are already getting a lot of positive referrals.  Just a reminder that there is school on Monday. Teachers will have developmentally appropriate activities for their classes to honor the Queen and the funeral.

BRSC LIBRARY PASSES

Your family can now sign out a Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre pass from our school library.  You can use it to go to the BSRC  with your family for a 7 day period.   Inquire with in the Learning Commons.

SCHOOL COUNCIL AND FUNDRAISING SOCIETY

Our kids need the help of your thoughts and opinions!!  We would like to invite you to our Virtual AGM meeting will be on September 21st.  The fundraising meeting will begin at 6:30pm, followed by School Council at 7:00pm.  What is School Council? It is a wonderful group of parents that have the opportunity to make an impact on their children’s  school environment.  You can participate in Fundraising, Parent Council, or both.  There is no requirement to attend all of the meetings, just show up when you can. Meetings last 30-60min and rarely go past 8:00pm.  At the meetings we discuss school activities, curriculum and get regular updates for staff.  We plan dances, movie nights, parent nights, and teacher appreciation.  We decide how the fundraising money will be spent. We hope to see you there, it’s a great way to get involved!

TERRY FOX PIE FACE FUNDRAISER

We are encouraging our students to bring in one Toonie for Terry.  If they bring in a toonie, they will get a ticket that they can enter into a draw to pie a teacher in the face on Friday, Sept 23.   We will be selecting three winners for each teacher.   Only one toonie ($2)  for one ticket for each student.  If you bring more money, you will not get more tickets.
