    THANKSGIVING

    We hope that everyone has a restful and enjoyable time with their families over Thanksgiving.  We have had a lot of great things happening here at school.  Many classes are going skating. Grade 3 and 4 students are starting swimming lessons this week and much more.

    MORNING DROP OFF

    Parents, dropping  your child off in the alley beside our bus lane is not safe.  We have many buses and vans that use our bus lane and we have noticed an increased number of students being dropped off and then have to run/walk through the bus lane to get to the school.  Please use the drop off lane at the front of the school.  The “Kiss and Go” is for quick drop offs and not for parking.  We continue to work with our families to make dropping off your child as safe as possible.

    BACK BUSINESS PARKING

    We have been asked to remind our parents to not park in the parking lots of the businesses behind the school.  These spots are for their patients and clients, not for our parents to use.  Thank you for supporting our community.

    BSRC FAMILY PASS

    These two passes are already popular. Please fill out this form, to sign up for the waiting list and the pass will go home with your child.  They are signed out for one week at a time. .

    HALLOWEEN AT SCHOOL

    We prefer that students are in their costumes for the afternoon on Halloween.  You can come dressed for the day, but it often is uncomfortable and distracting.  They have to eat lunch, play outside for recess, etc.  Please leave accessories that are part of a child’s costume at home. They can get easily lost or damaged. No weapons should be brought to school. We are also encouraging Orange and Black Day for Friday, October 28 for students who do not recognize Halloween.  Please be mindful about violent costumes, as they need to be appropriate for school. We have many young students at school.

    HOT LUNCH

    We are excited to be able to offer Hot Lunch thanks to our Parent Council. Go to healthyhunger.ca to order.  Any questions, please email [email protected]

    Fundraising Society Meetings
    Programs such as Hot Lunch are impossible without our EBS Parents Fundraising Society, last month we did not have enough voting members to hold our board elections – while the past board agreed to stay on to get the ball rolling on the Hot Lunch program, the rest of our fundraising efforts are in jeopardy if we do not have attendees at our meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 6:30PM.

    – We currently meet via ZOOM, no need to commute and feel free to keep your pyjamas on *this also allows parents to join in while they wait for kids at extra circulars;
    – You do not have to stay for both meeting(s);

    – To vote you must be a parent of an EBS student {this includes the early education program} you will need to introduce yourself in the chat window and state that you are a parent;
    – BGSD employees are not eligible to vote at fundraising, but we still value your conversation and volunteer contributions!

    School Council Meetings
    Looking to get involved in your child’s education?
    Want to hear about school and board updates on a regular basis and have a platform to share your opinion with the administration? Ecole Bellevue School Council met for our AGM last month we agreed to hold over our board elections until we could drum up more activate participation. We hope to hold these elections at our meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 7:00PM *estimated time depending on ending on fundraising meeting prior.

    – We welcome community members and those who will be sending their children to EBS in future.
