    GREAT WEEK BACK

We had a great return to school and students were able to enjoy recesses outside!

This month, we will resume our character education assemblies next week, and this month’s focus is Responsibility. We continue to encourage students to think of a caring adult here at the school. Please ask your child if s/he has someone they could approach at school if they needed help with school work or something else like friendships. Hopefully your child can name someone. If not, please encourage her/him to think about it a little more.

We also continue to focus on students’ literacy and numeracy development. We offer several interventions and in class supports for our students. Some of these supports are for the whole class, in small groups and individualized as well. Our school has accumulated many excellent resources and we work hard on PD days to focus our time on refining our pedagogy.

We will be having our Positive Referral (PR) assembly next Friday, with our PR pizza lunch the last Wednesday of the month. Great things are happening at Bellevue and we thank you for your continued support!

    REPORT CARDS AND POWER SCHOOL

Report cards will be emailed out at the end of the month.  Teachers are working on them right now.  You will not be able to access your child’s marks, but you can still access fees and field trip forms.

PARENT COUNCIL AND FUNDRAISING SOCIETY MEETINGS

These meetings will be virtual on Jan 18th, starting at 6:30pm (Fundraising) and 7:00pm (Parent Council).  We will post the link online on our Facebook page.  We will be discussing the upcoming calendar for next year. This is your chance to provide feedback.

    HOT LUNCH

The next Hot Lunch is A&W on Friday Jan. 20th.  The full list for the next few months will be online next week.

    RESPIRATORY ILLNESS SELF ASSESSMENT

There are lots of illnesses going around and AHS has recently developed an assessment tool for respiratory illness.  It can be found here:

We continue to ask that students stay home if they have any signs or symptoms. Ie- runny noses, coughs, fevers, etc.
