GREAT THINGS HAPPENING

We hosted our Easter Bellevue Cup on Thursday, April 6th.   Students from Grades 3-6 got a chance to participate in our in school tournament.  Lots of fun was had and some intense games happened. 

BEAUMONT CUP

Our grade 5 and 6 students participated in the Beaumont Cup last Wednesday Night.  Both teams played great.  Our Boys’ Team won and our Girls’ Team got second place.

DITCH THE DEVICE CHALLENGE

More and more information is coming out about the negative effects that too much technology time has on kids. This also includes students being online with social media. We will be spending time talking to our students about it over the next few weeks. We want to promote students’ appropriate use and are encouraging unplugging from their devices more and getting outside, playing with friends and spending time with their family.  Stay tuned for our Live and Unplugged challenge.   

NUTRITIOUS LUNCHES

This month we are promoting healthy lunches.  We are encouraging students to choose foods that we call “Choose Often,” rather than foods that are not as healthy and that we would choose them less often.  Fruits and vegetables are a good source of energy and are great foods to eat at snack or meal time.   

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

We will be doing a Jump Rope for Heart challenge in May.

ACTIVE FOR LIFE

We are starting the registration process for Active for Life for next year. This program is for grade 5 and 6 students. You can fill out this form, if interested.

SICK AT SCHOOL

Thank you for continuing to keep your child home when they are sick and we ask that you use the 24 hr rule.  Meaning keep them home for 24hrs after the last symptoms. We have had a lot of students getting sick at school and we want to keep everyone healthy.
