ORANGE SHIRT DAY- Sept 29

orange shirt day

Orange Shirt Day is a day of remembrance and learning, held in honor of the Indigenous children who were taken from their families and placed in residential schools. It’s a chance for our school community to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and to affirm that every child matters. We invite all students and families to wear orange as a symbol of support and to help foster understanding and respect for Indigenous histories and cultures.

SCHOOL STAFETY CONCERNS

Staff Parking Lot

For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that children and parents do not walk through the staff parking lot at any time. This area is not a safe shortcut due to frequent vehicle movement, and we want to ensure everyone’s safety.

Parking lots can be dangerous places for children, and it’s important that we all work together to model safe behavior. Parents, please help by setting a good example—always use the designated walkways and drop-off/pick-up zones. By doing so, you're not only keeping yourself safe, but you're also teaching your child important habits for life.

We also kindly remind families that the staff parking lot is not to be used for drop-off or pick-up. Please use the designated areas to help keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!

Dogs on School Grounds

We kindly ask that parents refrain from bringing dogs onto school grounds. Some students are fearful of dogs, and there have been incidents in the past involving dog bites. For the safety and comfort of all students, please keep your dog off school property. It is an actual by-law in Beaumont, not to have dogs on schools or playgrounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
