Thank you to all the families for coming to the Parent-Teacher Conferences and for supporting our school Book Fair! We loved having the opportunity to connect with so many of you to discuss your child's progress and celebrate their learning. Your incredible generosity at the Book Fair also helps us bring fantastic new books and resources into our classrooms and library.

A special thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate last week's Halloween parade with us! We had our biggest family turnout ever, and it was wonderful to see all the creative costumes and share in the festive fun.

Huge shoutout to Mr. Pastushak and Mr. Olsen for pulling off an amazing Maverick and Goose! They spent hours working on their INCREDIBLE jet that wowed at the parade.

We would like to wish a very Happy Diwali to all our families celebrating the Festival of Lights. May this beautiful time bring joy, peace, and prosperity to you and your loved ones.

We are so grateful for your continued partnership and for making our school community so special!

REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY AT ÉBS

This past Friday, our school hosted a moving Remembrance Day ceremony, and we were honored to share it with our parents and special guests, Constable Frost and Constable Chand. The Bellevue choir moved us all with their beautiful singing, while our Grade 1 and 3 students delivered truly thoughtful presentations. We are incredibly proud of our entire student body for demonstrating exceptional respect throughout the solemn event. Thank you to everyone who joined us to honor and remember those who have served.

SCHOOL COUNCIL INFO

Your Voice Matters: Making a Difference in Your School Community

Who is ASCA and what do they do?

The Alberta School Councils’ Association (ASCA) is here to support and represent parents as valued partners in education. They work to strengthen the connection between parents, school communities, and Alberta’s Ministry of Education, ensuring that parent perspectives and voices are part of important conversations about education.

Why does it matter to you?

Because your voice matters! Parents play an important role in student success. Through school councils, you have an opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, raise concerns, and contribute to decisions that can shape your child's learning experience and school community.

You don't need to be an education expert to make a difference. Your experiences, insights, and perspectives as a parent are valuable.

How can you make a difference?

That's where the Access Pass Vault comes in!

Think of it as your go-to resource for information, tools, and practical resources to help you feel informed, prepared, and confident in your role as a parent representative.

By bringing your knowledge, ideas, questions, and perspectives to school council meetings, you're helping build stronger partnerships between families, schools, and school districts.

Every voice adds value. Every perspective matters. And every contribution helps create a stronger school community.

Together, we can make a difference!

NEXT COUNCIL MEETING: NOVEMBER 18TH AT 6:00 PM

If you have questions or comments, please reach out to Heather at ebscouncil@gmail.com 😊

Join us for the four-part series on ‘Understanding Anxiety’.  In these core learning sessions, we will discuss anxiety, when it can be helpful, and when it may be harmful.  We’ll consider some different ways that anxiety may show up in our bodies, our thoughts, and our behaviours and share approaches that can help us feel more present, regulated, and effective. Participants are welcome to join one or more sessions in this series.

In addition, we are offering ‘Parenting Strategies for Positive Mental Health’ a two-part series which will explore factors that contribute to your child’s mental health and wellness and learn how you can be your child’s greatest mental health asset.
